Yes, he’s none other than Shri. Narendra Modi. I wish our Honorable Prime Minister, a very happy birthday.

Early Life

Shri. Narendra Modi was born as Narendra Damodardas Modi on 17 September 1950 at Vadnagar, Gujarat. He was the third of six children born to Damodardas Mulchand Modi (c. 1915–1989) and Hiraben Modi (born c. 1920). He finished higher secondary education in Vadnagar in 1967. He joined as balswayamsevak (junior cadet) in the RSS when he was eight with the help of Lakshmanrao Inamdar, popularly known as Vakil Saheb. Modiji got betrothed and married to Jasodaben when he was 18 and she was 17. But he preferred to live a life of an ascetic. Swami Vivekanand inspired him and he started visiting Hindu ashrams founded by Swami Vivekananda: the Belur Math near Kolkata, followed by the Advaita Ashrama in Almora and the Ramakrishna Mission in Rajkot. The Belur Math and Ramakrishna Ashram in Almora didn’t accept him but that didn’t stop him from travelling back to Gujarat via Delhi and Rajasthan in 1968–69. He stayed briefly at Vadnagar before going to live with his uncle in Ahmedabad in 1970 where he served tea in the latter’s  canteen at the Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation.

Modiji did Bachelor of Arts  in political science from the School of Open Learning (SOL)[68] at the University of Delhi in 1978 followed by MA in Political Science from Gujarat University.

He joined a Jana Sangh Satyagraha in Delhi led by Atal Bihari Vajpayee in 1971 for the Bangladesh Liberation    War. He also quit working in the canteen to become a full time Pracharak for RSS.
The RSS assigned him to BJP in 1985. He helped to organize the campaign for BJP for the municipal elections in Ahmedabad in 1987 which BJP won due to his effective campaigning. He became the organising secretary for the Gujarat unit of the BJP in 1987. He became the member of the BJP’s National Election Committee in 1990, and helped to organize Advaniji’s Rath Yatra. Modiji ‘s electoral strategy ensured the BJP victory in the 1995 Gujarat state assembly elections.
Modiji  rose to the ranks of being BJP national secretary and transferred to New Delhi in November 1995. He went on to become BJP ‘sgeneral secretary (organisation) in May 1998, after ensuring BJP win in the elections. He served as the the chief minister of Gujarat from 2001 to 2014. HAPPY FATHER’S DAY

MISSING YOU DAD: A POEM BY Me

Photo by Cristian Dina on Pexels.com
My heart cries even to this day.
I know you are beyond my reach; too far away.
No more hugs, kisses, or cuddles.
You left us behind with tears creating puddles.

How can I ever forget your kind eyes twinkling with mischief?
How will I ever be able to overcome my grief?
Those comics and books you gave me to read,
You taught us humanity with your kind deeds.

How I miss traveling with you in train!
Those memories give me pleasure and pain.
I remember you telling me about the approaching station.
You had all their names in your finger tips until we reached our destination.

I got my passion for writing from you.
You were my dictionary to look up for words new.
Outstanding was your passion for music.
You were a man with multiple talents that made you unique.

Why didn't you talk to me for the last time?
Why did you leave this world before the bell chime?
I miss seeing your innocent smiling face.
And I pine for those glorious days.

Happy Father's Day to you, dear Dad.
I have mixed feelings, happy as well as sad.
Feeling sad, because you passed away too soon.
Having both parents alive is the greatest boon.

Feeling happy for you because you are in a much better place.
And no more humiliation or feeling disgrace.
I know you are smiling at me with love.
Blessing mom, brother, and me from the heaven above.

You are still alive, dad, in our hearts.
Death can never tear us apart.
How I wish I could keep telling you !
With all my heart, ' I love you'.

Happy Father's Day.

Hi FRIENDS,

Today I am unable to present the short stories of Grace, the powerful witch from Australia and Lester King, Chief Inspector from England. My family today observed the seventh year death anniversary of my mother-in-law. The Hindu rituals take some time as vedic hymns are chanted to appease the departed soul, followed by serving food to the priests and later the whole family gathers together for lunch served on banana plantain leaves.

My late Mom-in-law

I can’t believe seven years have gone by since her death due to ovarian cancer. She was a wonderful, hard working woman who always motivated us ( her daughters-in-law) to achieve something in our lives. She used to rejoice on our every single achievement. I can never forget her love and affection towards us. She treated her daughters-in-law as her own daughters. May the departed soul rest in peace and bless us all from the heaven.

POETIC THURSDAYS (5)

A TRIBUTE To MY BELOVED GRANDMA: A POEM BY ME (STORYMIRROR. COM)

Hi Friends,

It’s been three years since my granny passed away. I miss her so much that I feel a part of me is already dead. She was the sweetest woman I have ever known all my life. She always addressed everyone as dear child, or sweetie pie. She never knew the concept of being angry or holding a grudge against anyone. She would sympathise with every creature including mosquitoes, snakes and rats and could never see anyone in pain. Her name is Swarna which means gold. She was indeed a pure gold for all our family members.

My grandma
The four generations together. I am the one wearing glasses, my mother is in the right with my daughter and grandma on the left.

A tribute to my Grandmother

An angel of love was recalled by Heaven,

No one can be like her in all the births seven,

Her nectar-like words and her smiling face,

Will be etched in my memories always.

True to her name, she had a heart of gold,

She was and still is loved by everyone young or old.

She was an epitome of kindness and a devout woman

She never spoke ill of others in her entire lifespan.

She continued to smile even when she was in pain,

Such an adorable person can never be found again.

She was a wonderful wife and a great mother,

She kept our family bound together,

By the bonds of love, patience, and trust.

Now her mortal remains have turned to dust.

But in our hearts, she will continue to live,

Teaching us to love each other and forgive,

Our shortcomings and stay together for life,

And how to be an ideal husband and wife.

Her blessings will always be with us, I know.

Physically, she may not be here though.

She passed away on 11 March 2019. But since I normally publish poems on Thursday, I have presented it today.

Thank you so much for taking your precious time to visit my website. Hope you enjoyed reading my blogs. 😊😊
