Untrue Accusations : A Midlife Psychic Medium Series. Carolyn Ridder AspensonI thoroughly enjoyed reading Author Carolyn Ridder Aspen’s Untrue Accusations. I find interacting with ghosts and seeking their help to solve a crime rather fascinating. It’s one of my favorite kinds of Paranormal Cozy mysteries. This book is absolutely delightful, fun, cute, awesome, hilarious with unexpected twists and a great climax. What ‘I loved the most about this book was the introduction of the lead character, Chantilly Adair, from one of Carolyn’s series, Chantilly Adair Paranormal Cozy mysteries, though it was just a cameo. My most favorite character is Angela’s ghost mom, Fran. She’s adorable, and a great fun.
Angela Panther’s best friend, Mel’s daughter Sara is accused of murdering her best friend, Chrissy Taylor. Angela is a psychic medium and she can see and talk to ghosts. Chrissy’s ghost just tells her the name of her boyfriend Donny Henderson. Angela and Mel think that Donny might have murdered Chrissy and framed Sara for the crime. Angela wants to clear Sara’s name and decides to find evidence linking Donny Henderson who’s a Casanova and has been involved with another girl in Chrissy’s sorority, Ashley. Angela sends her mom’s ghost, Fran, to spy on Donny and his new girlfriend.
As the story progresses, Donny is also murdered. Now, Angela has to solve two murders. Are both the murders interlinked? Angela has too many suspects and one of them is in great danger. Will she uncover the truth and get Sara cleared? If you love Paranormal Cozies, I would highly recommend this book. I have added yet another author to my list of favorite paranormal cozy mysteries author. Hats off to Ms. Aspenson.

Hanging by Thread by Author Emory Keller is a wonderful paranormal cozy mystery. I thank Ms. Keller for the advance review copy of her awesome work in exchange for my honest review. The story has innocence, charm, thrill, great suspense and a heart touching climax that’s bound to make you smile. Laney Hart is a graduate student who lives in Elis, a small town in Washington. She also takes care of her mother, Cynthia, who appears to be zoned out. Laney’s father takes good care of his wife. She’s also blessed with a best friend in Charlotte and a boyfriend, Donny, who’s a police officer. She has a dog, Herbert, as her pet. She doesn’t realize that she has magical powers. The real trouble starts following her when she and Charlotte stumble upon a dead body by the river. Their dog, Herbert, is the one leading them to the corpse. There’s something odd about the body. It has bluish appearance with red thread tied all over. Both Charlotte and Laney are shocked. Soon after this gruesome discovery, Laney starts having weird dreams of strange ladies chasing her , as if to warn her of her impending doom. Charlotte and Laney seek the help of Monica, the librarian, who’s also Laney’s mom’s good friend. When they mention about the state of the body that they found, Monica is visibly shaken. She gives evasive reply to Laney’s questions. She also happens to meet a stranger who’s frequenting the library and seems to be stalking her. Who’s he? What does he want?
This is followed by the discovery of another body during the Spring Time Festival celebrations and someone’s been threatening Laney through her dreams. Will she and her friends able to find out who killed the victims and why? Is Laney the intended victim or are there more murders in store? There are stunning revelations and I loved how the story progressed. Excellent book. Highly recommend it for reading. It would be available on Amazon on March 2, 2023.

This is the fifth book in the Crystal Beach Paranormal Cozy mystery series by Author Karen McSpade.

Or would the murderer get away by killing Sidney? Would Sidney be able to save het mother from Sam Barlow’s magical charm?

I would congratulate Karen for writing a marvelous, highly entertaining paranormal cozy mystery and would love to see more books in this series. Author Karen McSpade continues to weave her magic with A Meowing Suspicion. This whole series is so charming and magical that I feel as if I am under a spell of a wonderful paranormal cozy . Karen is certainly gifted with the ability to weave spectacular magic with the words.
In the previous book, Feline Like A Suspect, I mentioned the changes in Sidney’s Mom, Julia Mae who seems to be doing well in the ‘Ben Chalmers Mini-Golf Invitational Tournament.” Sidney feels that her mom has been acting weird, more, like she is under the influence of a spell cast by the wily, Sam Barlow. Later, Ben’s ghost prompts her to follow him at night to the Beach where she is shocked to find Eduardo Fitch and Shirley Yao in a secret meeting. She stays hidden and overhears their conversation. They are trying to use unfair means by planting devices on the hole meant for the golf.
The story continues now with Sidney entering the area where Ben’s ghost and her Grandfather had repeatedly urged her to look for. She’s shocked to retrieve a Flash drive. She thinks, probably, this is why Ben was killed. She’s unable to find out more as she’s unable to enter the correct password.
Sidney needs her granny’s help to crack the password. When she’s on the way to meet her. A strange sight greets her. A tall beefy man, is handing an envelope to Judd, a former astronaut and Ernie’s friend. Sidney finds it highly suspicious because Judd tries to hide it when Ernie turns up. What secret could Judd be hiding?
Can Sidney and her granny discover the truth behind Ben’s Murder and find out what was in the flash drive that got him killed? Will Sidney be able to save her Mom from Sam’s clutches? Author Addison Creek’s series Witch of Mintwood mysteries is an adorable paranormal cozy mystery. I loved the concept of a ghost cat for a familiar and ghosts protecting The new Witch of Mintwood, Lemmi. Her best friends, Greer, and Charlie also stay with her in her deceased Grandma Evelyn’s farmhouse which is almost in a state of falling apart. The best part is not only Lemmi, a witch, but also her human best friends, Greer and Charlie can see and talk to ghosts as Lemmi has given them permission to see and interact with them. Liam Smart, the owner of Twinkle Costume Shop, Jasper Wolf and Deacon Grates also are the ladies’ friends.
Witch Way to Mintwood ( Book 1)
Lemmi is woken up by her friend as they are shocked to find their best friend, Charlie, a reporter for Mintwood Gazette, sobbing her heart out after being dumped by her boyfriend, Andy. The trio had been great friends since their school days. Charlie’s decision to move in with them upsets Lemmi because only Greer knows her secret that she’s a witch and can see ghosts and talk to them.
There is the first twist in the tale when Lemmi sees the ghost of the former Mayor, Mrs. Bessie Goodkeep, peeking through the window while Charlie is making the breakfast. Mrs. Goodkeep blackmails Lemmi into helping her as her great-great-granddaughter, Gracie Coswell, is in great danger. Lemmi and her friends, never liked Gracie who was a rich snob. Yet, putting aside her feelings, she checks on Gracie who acts weirdly but otherwise alright. Lemmi goes back to join the protest against the demolition of the town’s historical Babbling Brook Barn which has been sold by the Grates to Jasper Wolf . She meets her old school crush, Jasper. His grandfather and her grandma never got along and she always forbade Lemmi to continue her friendship with Jasper.
Later, after dinner, Lemmi’s intuition warns her to check on Gracie. This time, she meets the ghost of Hank the butler and they are shocked to find Gracie missing and so is the precious jewelry, Pier Pearl. Her room is in a mess. Detective Cutter responds to her call. However, this is not the only crime being committed. There are a series of robberies across various stores. Lemmi’s friend, Liam’s store has been broken into. Are these incidents interlinked? Is Gracie alive or Lemmi would find her dead body? This is a fabulous book as there are startling revelations to keep you glued until the end and there are so many good twists and unexpected turns. A roller coaster ride of fun, thrill, humor, and a great suspense filled adventure.
Witch Some Win Some (Book 2)
Lemmi’s friend, Liam, seeks the help of the trio to help him win the Best Window Display decoration as a part of The town’s 200th anniversary celebration along with the ribbon-cutting ceremony which is a matter of prestige for any store and would get featured in the newspaper, Gazette.
Lemmi and her friends are returning from their dinner at a restaurant called Beans and Greens in the neighboring town of Caedmon when Lemmi abruptly applies break to her car after watching a ghost in the midst of a road which passes near Babbling Brook Barn. The ghost of a lady called Kayla Caldwell tells Lemmi that she was driven off the road and her car skidded into the lake, twenty four years ago. She feels that someone had murdered her and that her car is still in the lake, waiting to be found so that Kayla could be given a proper burial. She seeks Lemmi’s help to investigate the case and close it within a week so that she could move on and asks her to meet her sister Mary Caldwell. Lemmi informs Detective Cutter about the sunken car. Charlie is disgusted to find her rival, Hansen Gregory from the Chronicle on the site of car recovery.
In the meantime, Liam is depressed because his main competitor is Artist’s Art Gallery, and can only win when he finds the Vintage Dress collection by Fransesca Holly. He seeks Lemmi and her friends’ help. Can Lemmi and her friends successfully accomplish the two tasks and seek justice for Kayla? I never expected some fabulous twists and turns. This book had me completely in its grip. Excellent read. Highly recommended.
Spell by Midnight ( Book 3)
Lemmi has a romantic dream of Jasper confessing his love and she ruins it by mentioning the feud between their grandparents. Her ghost cat, Paws, insists on her to start her training in magical spells.
She is forced to join Greer and Charlie in a fundraiser dinner by Jasper and Deacon. The trio are enraged to find Macy and Mildred, the irritable sisters and business partners owning, Moody and Marble, the party decorators, flirting with Jasper and Deacon. They forced them to show around the newly renovated barn and Lemmi and her friends follow them. There’s a foul smell emanating from the silo and Lemmi asks Jasper and Deacon to investigate. They are shocked to find a human body but what’s strange that Lemmi doesn’t see the ghost of the deceased.
The next day, she and her ghostly friends barely manage to escape the attack of a dark force, making it even more mandatory for her to learn the magic skills. The town is suddenly brimming with strange women who seem to be staring only at Lemmi. Who are they? What do they want from her? Will Lemmi and her friends be able to solve the mysterious murder of Hank Smith, whose corpse was discovered at Jasper’s barn? Do grab these books whenever you find time.

A Grave Roast ( ARC) A Grave Roast by author A. N. Sage is a hilarious, paranormal cozy mystery with superb unexpected twists and an equally outstanding climax. It’s absolutely refreshing and has the perfect combination of , fun, thrill, chill, and a roller coaster adventure.
Piper Addison is a witch who owns the cafe Bean Me Up in Orchard Hollow, a small town of paranormals. Her espresso machine has broken down and there is a funny situation. She tries to mend her machine by using her magic but her machine goes out of control squirting water at Nancy Steeles, her nemesis. I couldn’t stop laughing at this situation. What I loved the most about this book is having a ghost, Stella Rutherford, as a familiar and her remarks are so funny that you can’t help but laugh.
But then there is a twist in the tale when Daniel speaks to Piper asking her to meet in person at her cafe as a very serious issue has come up which could not be discussed over the phone. But Daniel fails to turn up and a racoon frequenting her cafe, Harry Houdini , leads to Daniel’s dead body in the alley. Piper is too shocked as she had seen him alive in the company of Isabella Beaumont who is the owner of The Rose Hollow hotel. Sheriff Romero suspects her and asks her to follow him to the police station. She gives her statement and when she comes back, she’s astonished to find an envelope from Daniel.
This envelope contains the secret to the mystery behind Daniel’s death. What’s in the envelope that got him killed? To make the book even more exciting is a mystery within a mystery. My lips are sealed as to what happens next because the story is soooo amazing, you can’t put it down for a moment. Do not miss at any cost. I highly recommend this book for all the paranormal cozy mystery lovers. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

I adore Author Karen McSpade and her awesome idea of breaking her story into several books to keep her readers glued to the story. The Crystal Beach Paranormal Cozy mysteries has my complete attention. You can say I am hooked or addicted to the series.
In the previous book, Claw of Attraction, Sidney Grace discovers that her ex-boyfriend, Ben Chalmers is found dead at the Mini golf Invitational event at Crystal Beach. Her mom, Julia-Mae, is visiting them and planning to buy a property from Sam Barlow for whom Ben worked. Sidney is highly suspicion of his shady character.
And now Sidney’s witchy powers are growing. She’s able to communicate telepathically with her cat, Mojo. She’s now assisting Eileen for the ongoing the Crystal Beach Mini-Golf Invitational Tournament is now renamed as ‘Ben Chalmers Mini-Golf Invitational.’ Eileen tells her that Ben’s rival Eduardo Fitch, could be the primary suspect for the prize money. There she meets her current crush Officer Reece and Ellen Musk, an official from the sponsor CAD-Astra tries to flirt with him as Sidney is infuriated. She wants to solve this case. She’s shocked to find her mom Julia-Mae participating in the tournament and achieving the perfect score. Her grandma Ada-Mae who is also in the competition is raging with fury. Sidney is highly uncomfortable with her mom falling for a guy like Sam. She senses something wrong with guy. Probably, he might be having magical powers.
When she comes to her van, her cat tells her about the presence of a ghost nearby. Sidney is shocked to find Ben’s ghost who’s trying to lead her somewhere. What happens next is absolutely thrilling! She has successfully managed to keep her readers intrigued with her second book in the Crystal Beach Paranormal cozy mystery, ‘ Claw of Attraction.’ Wow, I love the way, she drafts her stories and splits them into short books and ends them at such an interesting point that you can’t help but look forward to the next instalment and buy it to continue the story from where it ended in the previous one. Wow! This entire series is too good to be missed. Excellent work, dear Karen. In Catch Scratch Murder, Sidney Grace, a reporter working for Living It Large in Boston magazine, rushes to help her maternal grandma Ada Mae who’s been arrested on the suspicion of murdering her friend, Marie Beauchamp. Besides being a nosy reporter, she’s also a witch who has discovered her power to see ghosts just like her granny. She finds out the real killer and now the story continues in Claw of Attraction. Her grandma is missing. Fearing her safety, she seeks the help of Ernie and when she goes to her grandma’s room, she’s shocked to find an astonishing sight? What’s it? Will her grandma live or die? Who was Marie’s killer?
To find out what happens next, just get Claw of Attraction. The story progresses as Sidney accidentally bumps into her old flame, Ben Chalmers in a grocery store, Eternity Foods. Author Ess Harelson has come up with a beautiful paranormal cozy mystery. This is another refreshing story that does involve magic, talking to a raven, and psychic visions with a mystery and an unsolved mystery. Siobhan O’Hurlihy works as a teacher in Polk Middle School, Goldburgh, Colorado. She had a rough childhood with her mom, Serena, leaving her and her father, Mickey, when Siobhan was a kid and her father’s alcohol addiction. She only has her Maternal Aunt Louise to help her. But Siobhan is no ordinary woman. She has special magical powers. She can see people’s aura and could sniff out if someone lied. Without realizing it, she makes things happen as per her wish. The story begins with Siobhan celebrating the beginning of school holidays with her colleagues, Jennifer, Christina and Denny and the local handsome cop Rick joins them .
The next day, one of her students Mo, short for Guillermo, comes to her, offering to mow her lawn for his pocket money. But Her lawn mower is broken down and Mo suggests that she could accompany him to get the mower repaired by his Uncle Shorty who’s wearing an ankle bracelet due to his frequent brush up with law enforcement. They visit Mountain Vista Trailer Park where Mo lives.
Siobhan is practising her morning run along nature trail crossing Banker Street and accidentally stumbles upon the dead body of a young girl. The crows, ravens, and other birds have already started pecking at her body. She throws up and is also shocked to find Mo coming along the same path. To prevent him from the trauma of a body, she converses with him after having called 911 to which Rick responds.
Siobhan’s internal voice keeps insisting on seeking justice for the dead woman identified as Rebecca Hope. She frequently visits Mo, his rude sister Tasha, Uncle Shorty and his mother but they warn her not to interfere in the ongoing police investigation. She learns that Rebecca or Becca was Tasha’s friend in school. A guy named Mark has dated both Becca and Tasha. Is it him? Or is there a bigger secret that got her killed? Besides, she keeps getting visions of the body in the woods. The best part of the story is her friendship with a raven with whom she can communicate telepathically. It’s a good story and I would give it 5 out of 5 for the perfect and the unexpected twist in the tale but more so for the secret behind her mom Serena’s mysterious disappearance.

GET UP AND GHOST : A MIDLIFE IN CASTLEBERRY PARANORMAL COZY MYSTERY SERIES CAROLYN RIDDER ASPENSON
This book had me completely gripped and enthralled. The story and the narrative is soooo good that you are compelled to read further and it’s nearly impossible to put down the book. Awesome, fabulous paranormal cozy mystery. The concept of an unsolved 100 year old mysterious death plus another one, is what attracted me towards this book. I have added Get up and ghost to my list of favorite books.
I straightaway got hooked on to this super paranormal cozy thriller. It begins with a creepy description of Agnes Hamilton’s dead body hanging from the ceiling rafter of the two-story foyer of her home in her traditional wedding dress after her fiance, Josiah Dilts, dumps her for another woman. Chantilly Adair, The Director of Historical Society of Castleberry, Georgia, is going through a document pertaining to the supposedly Haunted Hamilton House in Delphina Beauregard’s ( Del’s) cafe. She also has a humorous conversation with Thelma Sayers, Del’s good friend.
Chantilly is one of the judges of The BBQ competition and is scheduled to meet the participants in the Hamilton House. Olivia Castleberry, her assistant, introduces her to the participants, one of whom, is her high school mate, Bobby Joe Pruitt. Bobby is a short tempered fellow who runs a restaurant in the haunted Hamilton House. When Chantilly meets the other participants in the Hamilton House, Bobby lashes out at other contestants, Jesse and Julia Lye, and Rashid Patel. It’s then that Chantilly begins to experience the phantom visions. She’s able to see the ghost of Agnes replaying the moment of her death. Her ghost gives her visions to prove that she was murdered and not committed suicide.
And then Bobby Pruitt is discovered murdered the next day by Chantilly and has another vision of the 100 year old murder. Chantilly is also one of the suspects as she was the last one to see Bobby alive and argue with him. Her reputation is at risk as her old school nemesis Lonna Appleton wants to deliberately frame her for the murder she didn’t commit. Who are the suspects? How did Bobby die?
To find out Chantilly’s fate as a new psychic, definitely grab this book. It’s a complete entertainer with a fair share of thrill, fun, humor, awesome twists and turns. Full 10/10.
