Kitchen on Fire. Poem 1.

Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
I tried making pancakes,
 And set the kitchen on fire too.

My dog tried to help,
 But he just made a mess,
 He thought he was a chef,
 But he only caused distress.

So now, I'll stick to takeout,
 And avoid cooking for good,
 Because every time I try,
 I end up in a fiery mood.

But don't worry too much,
 I'll survive with ease,
 I'll just stick to my day job,
 As a typing machine that's pleased.

Cooking Disaster : Poem 2

Cooking's an art, they say with a smile, 
But my kitchen turned into a total vile. 
I watched YouTube for some inspiration, Instead, got recipes of great desperation.

Started cooking with utmost sincerity, 
But soon realized my skills were questionable. Stirring and chopping were all good, 
But somehow, I misunderstood.

Tried baking a cake, but it turned to rubble, And my pasta was nothing but trouble. 
My souffle didn't rise, nor my meat, 
I just stood there defeated and beat.

My kitchen looked like a complete mess, 
As I tried to clean up the excess. 
The smoke alarm went off, scaring my pets, And I ended up with lots of regrets.

Cooking's not for amateurs, that's for sure, But I'll try again and aim for a pure, 
Delicious meal that everyone will adore, 
And not end up being a culinary eyesore.
