Funny Excuses Poem.

Excuses are very much a part of our lives, 
Offered by cheating husbands, and their irresponsible wives. 
Children are experts in this game. 
Some of their arguments can put us to shame. 

I wish there had been a book of excuses, 
To give an idea for escaping from abuses. 
Failed to reach your office on time, 
And trying to convince your boss to forgive your crime. 

Excuses, excuses, we've all made a few,
From being late to work or missing a cue.
We use them to avoid the truth and deflect,
But sometimes they're so silly, they leave us suspect.

"I can't come to your party, I have to wash my hair,"
Or "I'm sorry I'm late, my dog ate my underwear."
We've heard them all, some are even quite absurd,
But we play along, just to avoid being disturbed.

"I can't go to the gym, I think I broke my toe,"
Or "I'm not feeling well, I think I caught a cold."
These excuses may work for a while,
But eventually, we all have to face the trial.

Excuses can be funny, especially when they're lame,
But they won't get you far, it's just a silly game.
So next time you're tempted to make an excuse,
Just tell the truth, there's no need to be obtuse.
