I received this book as an ARC but due to ill health, I am posting it now after the book got published on Amazon on March 30, 2023.
This is an amazing book and I thank Author Emory Keller for coming up with a highly entertaining paranormal cozy mystery. Every Trick in the Spellbook has quite a fascinating start when a fourth-grader, Nyxie Bell, has a vision of a man getting murdered through magic.
The story moves forward as Astrid Saunders with Ione Makris entering the Segmimn’s School of Sorcery. In a strange turn of events, Astrid and Claudia discover the dead body of Anto Pul, the head of the school board. The police suspect Claudia because Anto’s body is discovered in her classroom. Astrid is convinced of Claudia’s innocence as the former school bully, has now turned into a responsible teacher though her best friend, Ione hates her.
Astrid decides to assist the police to clear Claudia’s name by catching the real culprit. Will she succeed in her mission or not? The murder itself is quite intriguing. There are awesome twists and fabulous turns in the story to keep you guessing the real identity of the killer. A highly enjoyable read and Ms. Keller deserves a huge round of Applause. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
