Author Ashleigh Quinn’s Flower Arraignment is a refreshing cozy mystery set in Norbury, a small town in Wyoming. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and there was never a dull moment.

Emma Collins is the owner of A Sprinkle of Green, a florist shop. She happens to read the news of a house destroyed by fire. She suspects there’s more to it than reported. She meets her friend Arianna Rodriguez and they discuss the case. Both friends approach Sheriff Beckett and are given go-ahead to investigate with caution. Emma discovers a secret entrance to a Wine Cellar while inspecting the remains of the burned house and the friends report it to their friend, Sheriff Beckett, who tells Emma about the discovery of a corpse. Whose corpse was it? Whom did the house belong to? There are so many startling revelations that the pendulum of suspicion keeps oscillating between different suspects.

This is a highly enjoyable read with fun, great element of suspense and thriller. And what a wonderful twist in the tale! I also loved the fact that unlike most cozy mysteries, the cop being handsome and the leading lady being suspected of murder, develop feelings for each other, and the cop advising her to stop interfering with law, this was completely different. In fact, Emma’s friend Arianna proved to be an amazing sidekick to a rather dangerous mission. I congratulate the author for coming up with a beautiful plot, which is completely unique.
