The book cover is pretty impressive and the title is perfect and promising. But as they say, Do not judge a book by its cover. This doesn’t mean that Holiday Hexes isn’t good but I am a little disappointed. Overall, I give this book, a 3.5-4 star rating rather than my usual 5 stars. There’s humor and a possible cute budding romance.

Let me give you a short summary before ‘I specify what I liked about this book and what could have been avoided.

Star Clearwater is a 35-year-old witch and the proprietor of Clearwater Creations, manufacturing sustainable toys for kids. As she’s watching a movie on her television, Her mother’s familiar,Chaser, drags her through a portal to the Town of Holiday Haven in North Pole. Her mother, Gloria, works for the Toy Workshop, run by Mrs. Claus. Someone has hexed the workshop and the magic has gone haywire. Can Star help her mother in identifying the culprit?

Likes :

I loved the way Star patched up with her mom and helped her to solve the case. Since the theme is Christmas based, there’s nothing serious like murder. And of course, the witchy magic is entertaining and there’s humor.

Overall Suggestion:

Could have been better as there are some confusing moments.
