मन की सफाई (CLEANING OUR MINDS). A POEM BY ME IN HINDI AND ENGLISH
तन की सफाई का हम रखते हैं ध्यान |
साबुन से तो हर रोज कर लेते हैं स्नान |
पर मन के मैल को कैसे धोए ?
क्यों कहते हैं ऐसे शब्द जिसे सुनकर सामने वाला रोए ?
चेहरे पर चेहरा है, किस पर करें विश्वास ?
अपनों से ही उम्मीद नहीं तो गैरों से कैसे करें आस ?
सामने मीठे बोल बोलकर पीठ पीछे करें वार |
दो मुंहे इंसान घूम रहे हैं ढूंढने अपना अगला शिकार |
कब तक हम एक दूसरे से नफरत और ईर्ष्या करेंगे?
बातों और हथियारों से आखिर हम कब तक मरेंगे?
दौलत की मोह में अंधा हो चुका है इंसान,
अहंकार की वजह से खुद को समझ रहा है भगवान |
पैसों से सब कुछ खरीद सकते हैं सिवाय किसी की जान | फिर भी ना जाने क्यों इंसान करता है पैसों पर अभिमान?
भूलकर सारे शिकवे गिले, क्यों ना करें हम एक दूसरे को माफ?
दूर रहकर कुविचारों से, कर सकते हैं हम अपने मन को साफ |
इंसान की सच्ची दौलत होती है, इंसानियत, ज्ञान, और प्यार |
जिस के मुख्य स्त्रोत हैं दोस्त और परिवार
इंसानियत से बढ़कर कोई धर्म नहीं, फिर क्यों है यह मतभेद?
सब ग्रंथों का करें सम्मान, चाहे हो गीता, कुरान, बाइबल, या वेद|
The translation in English :
We take care of the cleanliness of the body.
We take bath everyday with soap.
But how to wash away the dirt of the mind?
Why do we say such words which make the other person cry?
Some people have two faces, whom to trust?
We can’t expect anything from our own family, let alone the strangers.
People might talk sweetly on your face but may stab you in the back.
Two-faced humans are lurking around, in search of their next prey.
How long will we continue to hate and be jealous of each other?
How long will the hurtful words and weapons continue to kill us?
A human is blinded by the brazen show of wealth.
His vanity makes him think that he is God.
We can buy anything with money except for someone’s life.
In spite of knowing this truth, why does a man seek pride in possessing money?
Why don’t we let go of our misgivings and forgive each other?
We can keep our minds clean by getting rid of evil thoughts.
Humanity, knowledge, and love are our real assets.
We get these from our friends and family.
There is no religion greater than humanity, then why is there discrimination?
We should respect all the religions and religious scriptures, Gita, Quran, The Bible , or the Vedas.

I was just telling someone else, the more money you have, the more you want, the less humane you become. I prefer to just keep my head above water. I’m afraid hate is here to stay. At least that’s what the Christian bible leads me to believe. I’m not sure what answers your religion gives for that. Would be interesting to know.

Absolutely correct. The hunger for money and power can never be satiated unless ‘we excercise self-control. ‘I completely agreed with you that hatred has more or less become permanent. Yet, we can try to avoid the path of hatred as much as possible.
