NINTH DAY CELEBRATION : HAPPY SARASWATI POOJA

CELEBRATION AND A PRAYER

Hello Friends,

I know I told you that I won’t be available to post anything today. But I can’t stay away from you. By Maa Saraswati’s Grace, I wish all of you a Happy Navratri, Durga Pooja, Saraswati Pooja and Dussehra.

We worship Mata Saraswati, the Goddess of Knowledge by placing our books in front of her image and putting flowers. We aren’t supposed to touch any book as a mark of respect.

A simple offering of rice, sweet porridge made of lentils, cashews and raisins with cooked rice and dal.
Mata Saraswati

Mata Saraswati is the Goddess of Knowledge and all forms of art like music, drawing, painting etc. She is seen sitting on the Lotus with a musical instrument Veena and is the Consort of Lord Brahma, the Creator of the Universe.

A humble prayer to Maa Saraswati- The Goddess of Art, learning and Knowledge.

Bless us all, Maa Saraswati, with the gift of Knowledge.
And actually use it for the welfare of all.
Learning isn't restricted to any age.
And never consider anyone as inferior or small.

Bless us, O Divine Mother, to use our common sense.
And speak only the sweet words of kindness and love.
To stay calm and composed over situations tense.
And always chant Your Divine Name from the Heaven above.

Bless us, Maa Saraswati, for we are mere fools.
Enlighten us to respect all forms of life.
We should give up ego, anger, hatred and pride as they are deadly tools.
Hatred hurts more than the wounds of a knife.

We are Your naive Children.
And seek Your blessings to get rid of the darkness of ignorance.
Blessed are we to be born as humans.
We seek more patience and tolerance.

Here's the irony, Oh Dear Mother !
We remember You only during the festival or in need.
Disrespectful attitude towards women is a matter of bother.
So, is the division of humanity into different religions, caste and creed.

Bless us, Maa Saraswati, in spite of all our mistakes.
You are Mother, Teacher, Guide and Friend.
Forgiving is Your Nature, as our souls are yet to wake.
Your Mercy and Grace have no end.

Thank you so much for taking your precious time to visit my website. Hope you enjoyed reading my blogs. 😊😊
