MOTHER EARTH CALLS FOR HELP: A CHILDREN’S POEM bY ME.

The parched earth looks longingly at the sky. 
Begging clouds to shower mercy as its throat is dry. 
However, she's shocked and says, " I never asked for blood to quench my thirst." 
"I only need water first." 


" It's not just for my sake." 
" My children, please don't mistake." 
" Don't hurt the trees. They are my children too."
They need your help, and so do you." 

" They help in preventing soil erosion and bring more rain." 
" Their existence is your gain." 
" Don't waste water. Every drop is precious." 
  "If it dried up, what would be the fate of us? " 

"Don't kill each other. I hate seeing red.
As a Mother, I can't watch my children dead. 
Throw away your weapons and love each other. 
Treat everyone like you would treat your friend, sister, parents, or brother. " 

A badly bruised Mother Earth needs us to heal her wounds. 

Carcasses of animals, trees, and human dead bodies lay scattered on the grounds. 

Why should we wage a futile war? 
Is it to show our power? 
Let's stop engaging in self-destruction. 
Unity is the need of the hour.
