AMAZING COZY MYSTERY WRITERS

DAWN BROOKES

Dawn Brookes is one of my most favorite authors of the outstanding cozy mysteries. She’s an award winning English novelist who also writes children’s books and memoirs. The beauty of her cozy mysteries is that they are completely free from any kind of graphic violence and offensive language.

Dawn was born in Nottingham and grew up in Leicester, England, receiving her initial training as a nurse, before moving to London for further training in the East End. She has a work experience of thirty-nine years in the NHS in England. ( Goodreads).

She now lives in Derbyshire. She has done MA in Creative Writing with distinction and is the founder of a local literature festival, plus The All Things Books Show on the YouTube channel. Dawn’s memoirs are available in the form of three books describing her experiences while undergoing the nurse training from 1977- 1984 to become a Registered Nurse. They are set in Leicester, London’s East End and Berkshire!

Dawn loves nature and the environment and writes her children’s books with reference to Nature except for the Bible stories for Children. Dawn enjoys reading, listening to music, gardening, exploring with her godson, and walking. She loves going on a cruise. Besides, nursing and writing, she has also done amateur photography for forty years, running photo restoration business for a few years, and teaching children and youth groups in the church. I love her Rachel Prince series. I have so far read four or five of them. They are hard to put down, awesome mysteries with exciting adventures, and unexpected twists and turns on the cruise ship featuring Rachel Prince, a young woman dumped by her fiance and her best friend, Sarah Bradshaw, the cruise ship nurse.
