MY FUNNY WAY OF THINKING.
Good morning friends,
It’s Monday, a day which most people hate. Poor Monday! So I decided to turn it into a Funday after Sunday for a change. Have you ever experienced weird thoughts? I do have some which I would like to share:
I read about a news headline announcing the sad demise of a legendary singer. I am just curious to know what do they mean by sad demise? Is any demise happy? According to me, a demise is happy if it’s of a blood sucking mosquito or a rodent like a rat. But the happiest demise which should be celebrated is the demise or the death of our ego, fake pride, haughtiness, anger, greed, jealousy, hatred and murderous tendency.
I have read somewhere about this one:
I am quite amused when someone asks, “May I know your good name, please? ” A name is a name; it can’t be good or bad. I have a different view of this theory. We do have a good name, that people other than our family call us.
For example: Sam, Peter, Alice, Ram, Sita, Gita.
Our bad name is what our irritated parents, friends, and siblings call us:
For Example: Idiot, stupid, lazybones, sleepyhead, pig, monkey, donkey, wimp, dumbo, nincompoop etc.
My concept of give and take policy :
Give and take refers to a situation in which two people, groups, etc. respect each others’ rights and needs, according to the dictionary. It’s like you give respect and you take it. The concept can be easily twisted as:
You give money and I will take it.
Plants and trees give us oxygen; we happily take it. But give and take doesn’t apply to advice which is mostly free, unsolicited and which people are very happy to give rather than take. The exception is a counseling ( a psychiatrist) and a doctor where people pay for the advice which they have to follow for their own welfare.
There’s one more thing that we are ready to give but no one wants to take. Yep! You guessed it right. Our body fat. 😂😂😂😂
Now, this is a delicate matter. Yes! Seeking and giving opinion. People might say I want your honest opinion but prefer hearing a lie to a bitter truth. When we say, you look fabulous, the other person might reply ” You are a liar! You are just saying that to make me happy.” What should be our response then? Ok, sorry. To be honest, you look like a gorgeous monkey or an elephant on a diet. Strange, isn’t it? Shouldn’t tell a lie but can’t hear the truth.
Sometimes I wish I had a visiting card of a plastic surgeon with me all the time so that I could give it to people who interfered in my private life and say, ” Oh my God! What happened to your nose? It’s grown too long because of your constantly poking it in my matter. This person will restore it to its original shape.”
I feel sorry for the miserable people who hurt others with their harsh, ill-informed views, and constantly finding fault but pretend to be a great Devotee of God and trying to correct our mistakes on His behalf ( like my better half) for our own benefit. It’s like cat wearing an ochre garb and trying to convince a mouse that she will not hurt her. She’s simply there to get her liberated from the cycle of birth and death. ( This is a way to sugarcoat the fact that it’s going to eat the mouse.)
In spite of all the negative people that I am surrounded with, I am grateful to God for giving me the precious treasure of friendship with you all. I do feel that the good is always in the majority. According to me and as trained by my sweet granny, the whole world is good but some people have decided to develop their bad sides more. ( Some, not all) . I pity them for their poor choice. But I will only consider the good in others because I know how it feels like when you are always criticized for a tiny flaw.

Oh my gosh Aparna, I simply love your take on some of the wild things we might say and not even realize how ridiculous we sound saying them. A good name vs. a bad name…girlfriend you are spot on with that point! Your take on the concept of “give and take” is so funny, I never even thought about it that way. 🤔
Now, this statement says a mouthful:
