BREAKING NEWS: A POEM bY ME.

I wish I could own a news channel, airing only positive news. 
I would promote accurate reporting, with no intention to confuse. 
Stories of inspiration, I would like to share. 
And honor the people who really care. 
About the welfare of their respective nation. 
They are the real source of inspiration. 

I wish I could present these as breaking news. 
The warring nations have called for a permanent truce. 
Weapons and arms are destroyed forever. 
Communal violence and terrorism will take place never. 
People will not starve anymore. 
As food is available galore. 

Children are getting free education. 
People working together in peace and harmony for the welfare of the nation. 
Hatred and jealousy have vanished from the face of the earth. 
For peace, love and friendship, there is no dearth. 

Pollution of all forms have ceased to exist. 
Law must be obeyed, people would insist. 
This could make a great headline. 
Disorderly conduct would invite a heavy fine. 
Deaths reported should be of old age. 
Animals and birds are no longer in a cage. 

The only existing religion is humanity. 
Gone is the race for superiority. 
Fighting with each other is insanity. 
The root cause of all evil is hunger for power and vanity. 
People are rewarded for practicing charity. 
There's no news of regional disparity. 


Debates and talk shows would be held in a decent manner. 
Reports of corruption would come under the police scanner. 
Zero crime reported over the past few years. 
Would help people to overcome their fears. 
How lovely would be a world that would be free of any crime! 
Where people would always find time. 
To spend with their aged parents and children. 
And meet their friends and neighbors to have fun. 

This would make the best breaking news. 
There's no more verbal, physical, sexual, or a child abuse. 
There's no longer a case of human rights violation. 
There's no longer child labor, dowry deaths, suicides due to humiliation. 
Accepting each other irrespective of any human flaw. 
And have better self-control over the emotions raw.
