MISS YOU GRANDPA

A POEM BY ME

I  have always missed you, dear Grandpa. 
Ever since you went to eternal sleep. 
Leaving behind a great vacuum. 
And eyes that still  continue to weep. 

Every day of my childhood, 
I remember spending with you. 
You taught me what's bad and what's good. 
With your midas touch, you would restore old non -functioning items to new. ( He used to repair TV, radio, and VCR (video cassette recorder).) 


I miss you and grandma so much, 
I miss hearing the stories you told. 
Wish I could go back in time as such, 
And bring back you two,
more precious to me than gold. 


A visit to zoo or a circus. 
With you, meant so much to us. ( I and my brother) . 
You would treat us to chocolates and Ice creams. 
But now we see you and grandma only in our dreams. 

Never saw anyone like you enthusiastic towards life. 
You kept on smiling despite the pain. 
You were ably supported by a loving innocent wife. 
Couple like you will never be found again. 

I am grateful to God for giving us the most loving family. 
I thought that we would live together happily. 
Alas! No one can predict the game of fate. 
Sometimes I feel happiness is just a mythical state. 

Lost my father and a maternal uncle too.
I am afraid of losing my near and dear. 
I only seek the love of my friends and family. 
I wish I could get rid of this constant fear. 

Miss you, grandpa and grandma, from the bottom of my heart. 
I feel  both of your presence, though, you are miles apart. 
Do continue to bless us from the heaven above. 
This is what I feel is true love.
