THE HOME MAKER : A POEM BY ME

Every day, she wakes up with a smile on her face.
Every day, she carries herself with grace.
Every day, she takes care of her family.
Every day, she performs her duties happily.

Every day, she faces a new challenge and wins.
Every day, she undergoes pain but still grins.
Every day, she works hard to keep others happy.
Every day, she encounters comments that are snappy.

Every day, she manages to forgive those who offend her.
Every day, she bounces back strongly after a small failure.
Every day, she prays for her family’s welfare.
Every day, she longs for the family who have no time to spare.

Every day, she is taken for granted and ignored.
Every day, she can’t afford to get bored.
She has to keep running for her family’s sake.
She has to be perfect and make no mistake.

Yet, she’s sometimes taken to task.
“What do you do the whole day? “her family asks.
Every day, she suffers from humiliation and pain.
Every day, she forgives her family again.

Every day, she leads a strenuous life.
Every day, she fulfills her obligations as a daughter-in-law, a mother, and a wife.
Every day, stop yelling at her and treat her with respect and care.
Because if she leaves you in lurch, it will be a nightmare.
