FREeDOM : A POEM BY Me.

What does freedom mean to me?
A question crops up in my mind; Are we free?
Freedom for me means having the liberty to follow my heart.
To have my own unique identity that sets me apart.
To laugh heartily and have fanciful dreams.
To eat my favorite food and gorge on the icecreams.
To be able to express my feelings without hesitation.
To make new friends from every nation.
To express my opinion without the fear of a rebuke.
To wear my favorite attire without worrying about how I look.
To not care about what others think of my actions.
To visit the places of tourist attractions.
And no longer worry about diseases and germs.
To lead my life on my terms.
What about the freedom of Mother Earth?
She is captive under the shackles of death and birth.
The world, at large, would be completely free.
Only when the humans get rid of anger, ego, pride, greed, lust, cruelty, and jealousy.
Freedom is when we conquer our fears.
I hope someday terrorism completely disappears.
There is no more threat of diseases or war.
We have tolerated the acts of insanity so far.
I hope freedom extends to the animals, the birds, and the trees.
To live with the humans in peace.
Free from the fear of the clutches of death.
May we remain friends until our last breath.
I thank the army and the police for guarding our freedom with their lives.
They sacrifice their sleep and comfort and bear the brunt of bullets and knives.
Freedom always comes with responsibility.
Misusing it is an act of stupidity.
Let’s take an oath to be model citizens.
And act as ethical and responsible netizens.
