Hi everyone,

TV shows are an integral part of our lives. There are some sitcoms that created a great impression on us in such a way that we still enjoy watching the re-runs.

Friends, Dynasty, Baywatch are some of them. I loved watching Hindi serials like Buniyaad, Hum Log, Ramayan and Mahabharat. These are some of the shows that I still adore and watch on YouTube.

Here is Lucy

Here’s Lucy has been one of my favorite sitcoms that I watched in my childhood. It was so hilarious that I clutched my stomach from laughing. It’s all about the crazy antics of the Carter Family.

The date of first telecast was 23 September 1968 and continued to air on CBS until 1974.

The cast included
Lucille Ball ( Lucy Carter) , Gale Gordon ( Harrison Carter) Lucie Arnaz ( Kim Carter); Desi ArnazJr.(Craig Carter)and Mary Jane Croft ( Mary Jane Lewis) with others.
The show was produced by Tommy Thompson (Season 1)
Cleo Smith (Season 2)

Small Wonder

I loved Small Wonder. It’s an adorable and hilarious sitcom based on science fiction. It involves Ted Lawson, a robotics engineer, his wife Joan, their son Jamie and their cute robot daughter Vicki. Harriet, Bonnie and Brandon Brindle are the pain in their neck neighbors and often spy on the Lawsons. The highlight of this series was the funny dialogues between Harriet and Jamie. Absolutely laugh a riot series. The antics of Vicki left me craving for more episodes.

It was telecast between September 7, 1985, to May 20, 1989 on NTSC and then aired in India on Star Plus. I never missed a single episode. In fact, I am still a crazy fan of this series and continue to watch the re-runs on YouTube.

The casts of the show are
Dick Christie ( Ted Lawson)
Marla Pennington ( Joan Lawson)
Tiffany Brissette ( Vicki, the robot)
Jerry Supiran ( Jamie Lawson)
Emily Schulman ( Harriet Brindle)
William Bogert ( Brandon Brindle)
Edie McClurg ( Bonny Brindle)

It was produced by Howard Leeds and had several directors including Dick Christie.

Bewitched had me completely bewitched in its sheer magic. I love this series even after so many years have passed since it was telecast on Sony Entertainment Television.
It was first aired between September 17, 1964 to March 25, 1972 ( According to IMDBb) on ABC network.
The cast included
Elizabeth Montgomery ( Samantha Stevens)
Dick York ( Darrin Stevens)
Dick Sargent ( Darrin Stevens)
Erin Murphy ( Tabitha Stevens) (Samantha and Darrin’s daughter).
Agnes Moorehead ( Endora) ( Samantha’s mother) and
David White ( Larry Tate).
Samantha is a witch who falls in love with Darrin and marries him against her mother ( Endora’s) wishes. She tells him that she is a witch that initially shocks Darrin but his love for his wife makes him accustomed to her ways as she promises to avoid using magic as far as possible. Their adventures are pretty hilarious and very cute, especially the banter between Endora and Darrin.

Bewitched still rules my heart.

I Dream of Jeannie.

Wow! What an incredible, adorable, fascinating, cute show based on Fantasy! This series maybe a classic but I find it very charming and better than all the daily soap operas.

The story is about Captain Anthony Nelson who works for NASA along with Major Roger Healy. He accidentally discovers a bottle on an island and opens it to reveal a beautiful Jeannie who obeys his every order and grants his wishes. She is very cute and sometimes loves to play pranks.

He ends up marrying her and they make a cute couple. They share some funny adventures that would leave you in splits. A highly enjoyable series.

The first episode was telecast on 18 September 1965 and aired until May 26, 1970 on NBC network. I watched this show on Sony Entertainment Television in 1997.

The cast include :
Barbara Eden ( Jeannie)
Larry Hagman ( Anthony Nelson)
Bill Daily ( Roger Healy)
Hayden Rorke ( Dr. Bellows)

That’s all for now. Nowadays, I don’t watch TV shows because I prefer reading good books. How about you, dear friends? What kind of shows do you like to watch? Do let me know through your comments.

The trivia about the shows are from Wikipedia and IMDb.
