This is how my residential area looks.
“Swacch Bharat Abhiyan” , the cleanliness drive launched by our Honourable Prime Minister, Shri. Narendra Modi is indeed laudable. It is gaining popularity as filmstars and other celebrities are actively promoting the drive and urging people to take part in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in their respective surrounding.
However, some people still dispose their garbage in open spaces or in their neighbours courtyard, either out of habit or too lazy throw them in their garbage bin,in spite of being aware of the fact that filth and stagnant water are the breeding grounds for the mosquitoes.
Being the citizens of this country, it is our duty to keep our areas clean and hygienic. Public toilets are being constructed but those who use them, seldom bother to flush properly, which makes them unusable, and the stench emanating from them is horrible.
Cleanliness is next to Godliness, is a wonderful proverb meant to observed in practical life. If we are health conscious and care about the well being of our loved ones, we should avoid littering in the public, keep our homes clean, and educate others to stop spitting on the road, urinating in public or open defecation.
